BATH DECORATIVE FAIR OCTOBER 2021
BATH BOUNCES BACK ! is the headline for this much loved and respected fair, with it's next event only a few weeks away. The anticipation is rising and the relief from the dealers that this great event is to be back in business, is palpable.
With trade preview day on Thursday 21st October be sure to be queuing at those famous doors at the Bath Pavilion in time for the opening at 12 Noon on the dot.
This might be an intimate venue compared to many of the fairs, but this only goes to create the famous jolly atmosphere and the feeling of how fairs used to be, with excited buyers vying to get to items first. It also gives the larger fairs a run for their money as far as the line up of excellent exhibitors goes, with some well known and much loved faces returning again this year, along with new ones such as HOUSE OF HUMMINGBIRD and CHAIRMAN ANTIQUES. A great variety of antiques and vintage will be on offer, and a marvellous showing of some of our own Decorative Collective and Hoarde Vintage dealers will be there to add to the flavour.
Now in it's 31st Year, which is an incredible feat, owners Sue and Peter Hodder of Cooper Events, bought the fair in 2011 and have continued it's tradition of mixing it up with carefully selected dealers showcasing items ranging from country house to mid century, industrial chic to Swedish painted, so as you can see, there will be and always is, something for everyone. You can expect to find larger pieces of furniture, accompanied by garden ornament and small decorative accessories. The dealers can always assist with delivery, and many will take cards, but having some cash is never a bad thing to secure that special piece.
Heavily involved in the arrangements of this fair is Gail McLeod of Antiques News and Fairs and you can click here to keep up-to-date with her impressive Fair Calendar.
