JAMES WORRALL Antiques & 20C
JAMES WORRALL is one of the DC's longest serving Members, having joined us in 2010. Apart from being a very nice man, he is also a great dealer in antiques and 20th century furniture and other items, along with specialising in modern Art, often working wth British artists. You will find some particularly stylish ligting too.
Located in the Marylebone Antiques Quarter in Central London, James Worrall was established in 2004. It is a small family owned business with James at the head of it and he is also the main buyer. The shop is surrounded by a myriad of independent antique dealers and vintage fashion, including the world-famous Alfie’s Antique Market, James Worrall manages to retain a unique sense of style and direction in interiors.
Whilst the business has changed over the years, their philosophy has remained the same: they are are passionate to rediscover beautiful things from the past and bring them back to life to create new trends. James works with a team of specialist restorers to ensure that all his stock is refurbished to the highest standards.
James has a great eye and sources items from a wide range of places to ensure the collection is always fresh and inspiring, travelling all over the world in search of that special item. While key pieces such as mirrors and side tables are always in demand, he also stocks Mid Twentieth Century Abstract Art, and although he sources from all over the world, he often has works from British artists. James is used to working with collectors as well as interior designers and can always source the perfect painting for your interior or collection.
James has many years experience working with designers for commercial projects, as well as with private clients. Regardless of who you are, at James Worrall they pride themselves in delivering excellent customer service, which explains their list of many long-standing clients. James works closely with several specialist fine art and antique shipping companies and can deliver your purchases anywhere in the world – just contact them for a quote! They also offer a bespoke service in store: all of their seating is newly re-upholstered and all of their lampshades are hand made to order. You will find a selection of fine fabrics samples that clients are welcome to view at their shop in a relaxed atmosphere over a cup of coffee.
We highly recommend visiting the shop which is open Monday to Saturday 10am to 6pm.
