Italian Bar Cart / Drinks Trolley by Romeo Rega

20TH CENTURY FILTH
Rare, and super glamorous drinks trolley made by the sought after Italian designer, Romeo Rega.
Very good quality, made from brass and chrome, making it both a heavy and substantial piece.
Unusually, it features three tiers of thick glass and two handles either side.
In good condition, with some age-related tarnishing to the chrome and brass, the castors have been replaced at some point since manufacture.
There are a couple of small shells to the underside of two of the glass tiers, however they aren't that visible or affect the structure/strength.
Romeo Rega was born in 1904 and by the 1960s was known for his high quality pieces that were both modernist and glamorous.
This dates from c. 1970, by 1981 he ceased production.
(measurement of the width includes the two handles)

20th Century Filth is run by Sandra Carter who left a career in advertising and life in London for the seafront in St Leonards on Sea; an area already known for it’s antiques and vintage shops.

Having renovated a few properties which fuelled her interest (read: obsession) with all forms of mid-century design, she’s gone from being tasked with hunting down specific items for family, friends and Clients to focusing full time on sourcing beautiful pieces from France, Italy, Germany and the UK.

She offers a variety of antiques and design from late 18th century to the 1980s, but with a specialist interest in mid century lighting.
