Art Deco 3 piece silver tea set London 1923

An elegant art deco silver tea service presented in beautiful condition, bearing hallmarks for London 1923 with prestigious maker's name & address to the base of each piece: The Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Company Ld. 112 Regent Street W.
Of circular form with classical styling and subtle pattern work typical of the period, this 3-piece tea set appears to have had little use.
The teapot has a walnut Bakelite handle and matching lid pull, with attractive fluted spout.
Teapot height: 16cm /6.25"; length: 27.3cm / 10.75", diameter (at widest point) 15cm / 6"
The twin handle sugar bowl is of a generous proportion and would accommodate sugar tongs or serving spoon.
Bowl height: 7cm / 2.75"; width: 15cm / 6"; diameter (at widest point) 10cm / 4"
The milk or cream jug is elegantly fashioned with a fluted spout.
Jug height: 10cm / 4"; length 12cm / 4.75"; diameter (at widest point) 7cm / 2.75"

Current stock ranges from oak coffers made in the reign of Charles I to iconic film posters from the sixties - and much more in between. While Jonathan’s enthusiasm for fine Georgian furniture is undiminished, he continues to expand his inventory to reflect his clients’ tastes in new areas such as 20th century art and sculpture.
