A good quality late 19th early 20th century inlaid mahogany two part astragal glazed book case/display cabinet the glazed top with a inlaid broken arch swan neck pediment and retaining its original worn green velvet lining with two shelves the bow fronted base with one shelf ,the whole cabinet Inlaid with barber pole edges satinwood cross banding shells and paterae ribbon tied leafy scrolls and ribbon tied bell flower wreaths raised on tapering spade feet with a maker label to the rear for J Hodder house furnisher Winchester.

Great craftsmanship in its original country-house antique-condition with historical signs of age and use the locks work and key is present and is ready to use the height of the base would make this a superb drinks cabinet.
