Antique edwardian cast iron tiled fireplace insert

ANTIQUE FIREPLACES LONDON
A rare and unusual design, this original Edwardian fireplace insert comes complete with striking Minton antique tiles. The black and ochre tiles depict florals and fish, symbolic of the harvest, prosperity and wealth. This original Edwardian tiled insert features a decorative border with a central urn and floral cast motif. The insert provides design elements typical of the period however the flat frontage of the piece is very different in contrast to the majority of inserts manufactured during the Edwardian period.
