This late 19thC to early 20th-century earthenware jar is coated with a rich dark brown/green glaze. A subtle ridged texture patterning the jar's high shoulders manipulate the glaze to pool irregularly across the surface. Speckled with imperfections and color variations, this glazed pot will exemplify the timeless appeal of handcrafted pottery.
These types of jars were used to store wines, grains, and other pourable items. In good condition showing age and use. Can be used inside or outside.
