19th-Century French School Portrait Miniature

A characterful mid-19th-century French miniature depicting a seated gentleman holding a book. He’s dressed in a very fashionable single-breasted coat with a shirt, waistcoat and necktie.

The portrait is housed within its original fruitwood frame.
