A magnificent, large 19th Century diorama in ebonised and gilt Ffame, depicting a four masted Schooner in full sail, in choppy waters with a moody grey, sky. A smaller sailing ship can be seen tin the background. In wonderful original condition, made from carved and painted wood. The flags at the top of each mast show in order from right to left: The British Flag (Courtesy Flag); The Ship's Owner's Flag; a Pennant; and on the rigging, coded messaging flags.
