CHAIRMAN ANTIQUES
Jacobethan is the hybredised design taken from Jacobean and Elizabethan designs homologised by furniture makers in the 19th Century. This highly unusual take on the classic 19th century oak side chair is also to a degree Gothic and of a style sometimes termed Jacobethan, Flemish, Black Forest etc. this is a single chair, sporting a wonderfully carved bird of prey as well as scrolls and vine fruits, With come clear Carolean influences too it is everything mid 19th Century. The upholstery is well executed and the chair is in overall exceptional condition. It may emanate from America and it has been suggested that the contains contains Confederate references. Well constructed, very solid, good weight adn fabulously carved with lovely cloth and braiding. Find another!
