Set of 12 Chromolithographs of Birds of Prey

CHRISTOPHER HALL ANTIQUES
This collection of 12 Swedish birds of prey is by the Finnish artists Magnus von Wright (1805 - 1868) and Wilhelm von Wright (1810 - 1887) who were well known in the 1800s as both artists and ornithologists. They captured details and colours not previously seen. These colourful chromolithographs were produced around 1920 by the Swedish lithographer A. Bortzells of Stockholm. Beautifully framed in bespoke wooden frames behind TruVu glass which cuts reflection and affords some protection to the prints.
