19th C, Victorian Dome filled with 15 Exotic Birds

COLLECTIT! by SPECTANDUM
A large 19th century glass dome filled with a variety of exotic birds placed in a naturalistic environment. Some specimen that are part of the composition are; the Hooded Oriole, which is the yellow bird with the black head and wings, the Green-headed Tanager, the multi-colored bird found in Brazil, Paraguay and Argentina and the Puerto Rican Emerald, with its beautiful forest green plumage.

The colorful birds piqued my imagination and became the beginning of a passion for Natural History, Ethnography, European Works of Art, Antiquities and Curiosities that drive me on all continents, looking for fascinating and rare objects. Whether they are natural or man-made, all have an interesting story to tell.

So, it is finally in this spirit that the collection, which encompasses Natural History, Tribal Art, Paintings, Sculptures and Curiosities from many cultures and periods in history finds its rationale and its roots.
