Two lovely 19th C aquarelles of flower compositions by the artist Charles Gaudelet (1817 – 1870). He was a well-known French painter of glass-windows and aquarelles. Both paintings depict a variety of flowers on a plain beige background. The canvas is oval shaped as well as the frame surrounding the aquarelles.

So, it is finally in this spirit that the collection, which encompasses Natural History, Tribal Art, Paintings, Sculptures and Curiosities from many cultures and periods in history finds its rationale and its roots.
