17th.c. Style Dutch Oak Book Press.

17th.c. style oak bookbinder’s press from the Low Countries c.1900. Ideal for creating a collection of pressed flowers. Sturdy oak frame with the press board adjusted up and down with a long ebonised hardwood screw and handles. Single drawer below with ebony inlaid panel to the drawer front, repeated on the sides. Raised on a separate stand with a shaped and carved apron and superb reeded and baluster turned legs and feet joined with moulded stretchers, also ebony inlaid, for extra strength. Original turned and ebonised finials and knobs. Excellent colour and condition cleaned and waxed in our workshops.

Owner Nicky Collinge runs Collinge Antiques, has been dealing in antiques for over 30 years.

They are based in a large warehouse showroom in Llandudno Junction, North Wales, where they have an extensive and ever changing stock of genuine antiques.

As well as furniture from Georgian to Edwardian periods, and a special interest in Welsh pieces, they regularly deal in clocks, barometers, glass, silver, mirrors, militaria, paintings, bronzes, porcelain and have even sold vintage motorbikes and tractors!

Showrooms open Monday-Saturday, 9am-5.30pm and Sundays and Bank Holidays, 10.30am-4pm
