18th.c. French Cherrywood Bombe Chest of Drawers.

Beautiful mid 18th.c. French cherrywood commode chest of drawers c.1750. A large chest with an unusual configuration of four small drawers over one long drawer below. Of graceful serpentine bombe form, in solid cherrywood, with shaped drawer fronts and side panels. Moulded edge to the top, carved detail to the front corners, shaped apron continued on the sides and unusual carved feet. Original large steel handles, escutcheons and locks. Some old repairs to the drawer fronts, otherwise excellent original condition with particularly good colour and patina. Cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
