19th.c. Vernacular Welsh Oak Armchair.

Charming mid 19th.c. vernacular Welsh oak armchair, North Wales c.1840. Interesting and attractive pierced detail to the back stretchers. Bowed arms with shaped terminals raised on turned supports. Over a board seat raised on square stiles joined with stretchers to all four sides for extra strength. An old repair to one arm when it joins the rear. Otherwise very good condition, solid and sturdy with particularly good original colour.
