Art Nouveau Corner Display Cabinet.

COLLINGE ANTIQUES
Unusual English Art Nouveau or Arts & Crafts style mahogany corner display cabinet c.1900. Two door leaded glass display fitted with two shelves over a short blind cupboard in the base. Striking design with a flared cornice over an frieze of inlaid copper flower head motifs. The flower forms are continued in the coloured and textured glazing and in the superb inlaid door panels. Flanked with long tapering front stiles which form separate columns to support the cornice and continue to the floor with square feet and further inlay to the brackets. Maker unknown but very much in the manner of Shapland & Petter of Barnstaple. Some wear to the finish, generally very good original colour and condition with original handles and velvet lining. Cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Key supplied.
