Narrow 19th.c. Cast Iron Hall Stand.

Delightful little late 19th.c. cast iron hall stand c.1890. Just 20″ wide with six large double hooks for hats and coats over a hoop stay for sticks and umbrellas etc with a removable drip tray in the base. Beautifully cast as a trellis of intertwined plant forms topped with a fruit and acanthus leaf finial. Traces of the original gilding to the leaf deatil at the centre. Base is modelled as two writhing serpents into which sits the original white enamel drip tray. Cast with the serial number N.M 1713 at the rear and below the tray. Excellent condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
