In my 20's I worked for Chesney's, one of biggest fireplace companies in the UK. Although I only got to work there for a few years, a passion for fireplaces and everything antique and architectural started to grow. Fortunately for me, I had two very good friends who ran an architectural yard and have over 20 years combined experience in the antique and architectural game. Over many pints and discussions we started to work together travelling up and down the country and even overseas, buying everything from fireplaces, lighting and garden antiques.

Although we have spent years running fabulous items to some of biggest dealers in London, the plan has always been to open a shop and get a website up and running. We slowly collected everything from fireplaces to lighting and everything in between and eight months ago we opened Cubbit Antiques on Lillie Road in London. The shop has been doing great and we have slowly been building up a great clientele.

At present, I run the shop while Stuart is on the road doing what he does best, finding some of the fabulous stock that we now hold.
