A spectacular boulle clock by louis mynuel paris

D.J. HICKS ANTIQUE FURNITURE
This highly respected clock maker was working in Paris from 1680-1742 so dating this beautiful clock around 1720-40.
The stunning Ebonised Case is highly decorated with fine brass fretwork inlay and impressive decorative brass mounts and feet.
The clock movement itself is of high quality and importantly signed on the back of the movement “MYNUEL PARIS”.
The highly Intricate brass & Guilded dial is decorated with ceramic numerals and again is signed “MYNUEL A PARIS” on a ceramic plaque below the dial.
The clock case and movement is in top order. The movement, striking on the hour and half hour, has had a full clean and service including a later pendulum as the original was misplaced!
Apart from this, the clock is all very original and is in fine working order and will be a massive presence in any home or business!

D. J. Hicks Antique Furniture is based in Tetbury, Gloucestershire.  Our aim is to offer your clients quality and interesting pieces of furniture and decorative items for sale. Most of my pieces are mainly English or French and date from C1700-1850.  We believe that antiques look stunning in the modern new build home or a Georgian mansion and compliment the way we live our lives today and you should not be afraid to use them.

After all, one of the benefits of buying antiques is that they can always be restored, something you can't say or do with modern mass produced furniture.

We hope you enjoy the items found on this site and also on my own.  If you are looking for a particular piece that is not shown, then please contact me and I can source it for you.

We are also able to create bespoke pieces for clients, to a high quality finish and build and please contact us to discuss this further or you can view some examples of these pieces on my website here
