George IV Pollard Oak Open Bookcases

DREW PRITCHARD
A pair of George IV pollard oak open bookcases with polished brass lancet gallery, probably by Gillows of Lancaster.

Wonderfully original examples, one is slightly wider than the other but will have been for a specific location in the house they were first commissioned for.

Height and depth are the same for both, they have been shaped to the rear lower section to accommodate skirting boards.

English, 1830s.

It's very simple, Drew buys what he likes.

He has been dealing in architectural salvage and antiques for 29 years working initially as a stained glass restorer and designer. A member of LAPADA, Drew has spent 23 years as an independent dealer working from his base in North Wales. His business is driven by passion, an innate knowledge of antiques and a fascination with mixing items from different periods which has earned him a loyal client base of private individuals, interior decorators as well as partnering the best in his field on global and UK based projects.

He combines his many business commitments with sourcing new stock from across the UK and regularly exhibits at major London antique fairs where his show-stopping stands continue to be a great success.

With a focus on the aesthetic, Drew effortlessly mixes styles and eras creating his on-going collection which is showcased on our website.

We have a shop in Conwy which opened in 2018.  We are open Monday to Saturday 10am to 5pm. Sunday 11am to 4pm.
