Pair of antique Chinese giltwood carvings.

Recently we won these great gilt wood pieces at an auction.

One is a huntsman, the other a fisherman and his son. Mythilogical or Chinese 'Saints' figures.
Both are placed on a carved ebonized wood rock formation.
We placed the figures 'loose' on an added square cast bronze base for extra lift and added importance.

Late 19th century, early 20th.

Figures are 44cm tall, 17"

They could work beautifully as stunning paired pieces of decoration...
They could work as stunning lamps.

When we mount them as lamps, we will not drill through or damage anything on the figures. Figures will not be compromised.
The lamp holder cluster and shade will be resting on a 'figurine arm' placed behind the figures. The figures will sit loose on the square bronze and can be taken off at all times.

Shown here with several shade options. ( orange silk pleat, square card, black chintz on card ) Choice of shades is virtually limitless.

Contact us for pricing 'as lamps'.
