This wonderful 20th C oil on canvas entitled, not surprisingly, "Ducks" is signed in the lower left corner by Edward Wesson (1910-1983). These are not just ducks as they would seem to passersby, their faces denote souls and each has a different expression. This is what Wesson saw in nature.

Wesson was elected to the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolours 1952, to the Royal Society of Marine Artists 1957, and to the Royal Society of British Artists 1963. Very fine condition. Some scratches to frame.
