Austrian Empire Small Painted Armoire.

A Superb small Austrian Empire Marriage Armoire Dated "1824 " . Original untouched painting. Shelving to the left hanging to the right. Prussian blue Jig Saw patterned background with panels of wild flowers painted directly onto the wood. The moldings with faux marbling. Arched door with large bun feet.
Dated to front "1824" and undoubtedly custom made for a marriage, the house or cottage this was made for must have been slightly smaller than most or have a small entrance as this armoire is a little smaller than the norm and rare for that. It is excellent original condition with no replacement sections and no re-touching. For more pictures please enquire.

Fleet Gallery deals in a high quality works of Art with a focus on 20th century British Figurative and abstract paintings, prints and sculpture.
Our aim is to offer an interesting collection of 20th century British art. We believe that quality and price do not necessarily go hand in hand. There are a group of first class British painters, still relatively unknown and these are shown alongside the more established names.

Fleet Gallery is based in the exciting area of Norman Road, St. Leonard's-on-Sea, in East Sussex. This is a great little area to explore whether looking for art, furniture, or even just popping along to sample the great cafes or restaurants in the area. St. Leonard's on Sea is a thriving area really worth a visit.

Please enjoy our online art gallery or visit us in person and if you would like please feel free to email or give us a call.
