Circa 1880. Ceylonese porcupine quill and hardwood jewellery box. The top with three layers of quills separated by hardwood bands with ebony and circular bone inlay. The inside lid with matching pattern of bone inlay. The sides of lid and sides of the box with vertical rows of quills and matching hardwood frames. In perfect condition.
