Pair of Mirror Back and Rosewood Side Tables

Circa 1825, pair of shaped, mirror-back console or side tables. With figured rosewood tops that have a carved fore-edge, canted corners and concave shaped sides and front. With shaped rosewood apron above the mirror backs (one bevelled edge glass, the other not) which are contained in carved giltwood frames with leaf and floral decorations. The front cabriole legs have carved acanthus leaves down the fronts and to the back are scrolling designs, leading on to a carved, curled toe. The base has a rosewood section mirroring the top, a gilded, carved fore-edge and finishes on an enclosed plinth.
