Circa 1920s. A pair of mahogany bedroom chairs by Whytock & Reid of Edinburgh, almost certainly to the design of Sir Robert Lorimer. The shaped top rail with a flame mahogany panel with an open shaped section beneath, and a classic Lorimer splat, also in flame mahogany. Drop in needle point seat and simple seat rail on all sides, back legs are square tapering and finish on a stylized foot, front legs with slight carving on the facing finishing on a simple pad foot.
