Antique Library Armchair

An Antique armchair of good proportions, with square shaped roll back over a sprung seat and raised on ring turned front supports with original brass and porcelain castors, covered in a deep blue damask fabric with rope borders.

An extremely comfortable, traditionally upholstered chair. The frame is in excellent condition, the upholstery is perhaps a little tired but with no stains or damage - it is perfectly useable but I can arrange re-covering by my upholsterer. Please contact me for further details.

92cm high, 70cm wide at the front, the seat is 55cm deep and 38cm high.

  • H: 92cm (36.22in)

With a lifelong passion for the subject, Lisa has worked in the word of art and antiques for over 25 years.  Sixteen of these were spent as a Director of an Auctioneers in London before moving to South West France with her husband Marc Allum to restore a rambling 17th Century Chateau, which they used as base to host art and antique holidays.
After returning to the UK in 2012, Hand of Glory was born, offering an eclectic mix of antiques, objects and.... in the words of John Tradescant; 'anything strang (sic)'
In addition to running Hand of Glory, Lisa also writes for various magazines.
