Arts & Crafts Rush Seated Sussex Chair

HAND OF GLORY
An Arts & Crafts Sussex chair in the manner of Morris & Co., circa 1900, with bobbin turned back over a rush seat and bobbin turning to the front rail.

In good condition overall, the original rush seat is good and strong, the right hand side of the seat is lacking the beach finishing strip. This can replaced by by furniture restorer at cost if required.

91cm high max, 53cm wide across the front of the seat, 43cm deep and the seat is 42cm high.

After returning to the UK in 2012, Hand of Glory was born, offering an eclectic mix of antiques, objects and.... in the words of John Tradescant; 'anything strang (sic)'
 
In addition to running Hand of Glory, Lisa also writes for various magazines.
