Victorian Inlaid Papier Mache Jewellery Cabinet

Early Victorian inlaid papier-mâché jewellery cabinet.

A superb early Victorian papier-mâché jewellery cabinet, decorated all round with mother of pearl inlay and profuse gilt borders. The hinged door opens to reveal three drawers.

The condition is good, there are couple of misses of inlay and minor historic restoration as can be seen in the photos, these are compatible with age and do not impact on appeal of this beautiful box.

A wonderful example of the Victorian era that transcends time.
