17th Century Portrait of a Gentleman

A well-painted portrait of a 17th-century gentleman in period dress holding a rapier sword. Circa 1620. The canvas is still on its original frame with hand cut screws with a pen and ink name. 'M. Dazemar ', probably the name of the sitter. Unusual to find a portrait of this age, possibly Italian.
