INGLIS HALL ANTIQUES
Four beautiful engravings of "the Laocoon" published in 1683 by Girard Audran, Paris, from "Les proportion du Corps Humain". Newly framed with passe-partout technique using 1900s paper. Each print measures 33.5x 25.7cm.

"Les proportion du Corps Humain; Mesuree sur les Plus Belles Figures de l`Antiques" is a detailed and elaborate study of the ideal human proportions as derived from the measurement of ancient sculpture, by one of the greatest engravers and etchers of his day, third son of the Claude Audran, close associate of Charles Le Brun, student of Carlo Maratta in Rome, and etcher-engraver to Louis XIV.

Some age related soiling but very presentable for a 335 years old.
