A pair of Hector Guimard bench ends

INGLIS HALL ANTIQUES
A fine pair of cast iron bench ends designed by Hector Guimard (1867-1942). The original would have had a one plank seat and a backrest. Signed in the casting "Style Guimard". An example of this bench is at the Musee D'orsay and an image of this bench end was used on the catalogue cover and poster for a Hector Guimard exhibition in 1992. The 2 bench ends are in very good condition and would look great used as a bench once again or mounted on the wall as a wonderful example of design history c1905.
