Pair of 19th Century Indian Silkwork Panels

JAKE WRIGHT ANTIQUES
A matched pair of finely detailed Indian metal thread and silkwork panels. All the metal thread work raised in stages to create an eye catching 3D effect. Both on green and cream backgrounds, set into oak frames with chequer banded borders. One depicting a large peacock standing in a tree of foliage and exotic flowers, the second depicting two peacocks standing in trees of foliage supported above the Taj Mahal, with fishing boats and fish below. Larger panel measures: 123cm high x 64 cm wide. Smaller panel measures: 116 cm high x 64 cm wide.
