Christys' Hats Milliner Advertising Head

This unusual and rare male display head was made by Hancor Mitcham and was used to advertise and display Christys' Hats in shop windows. Christys' hats have been operating since 1773 and by 1843 were the largest hat and cap making factory in the world. This handsome display head looks magnificent on display especially when wearing a top hat and is an ideal gift for a hat collector or milliner. Would look amazing in a hat store, clothing shop, barbershop or hairdressers. Beritex Rubber. Marked to underside of base: Hancor Mitcham. Beritex. Art Deco - c1930.

Height: 34 cm (13 1/2") approx.

Condition: Very good vintage condition with wear and cracking that adds to it's wonderful charm. Some missing parts to underside. Some staining and marks. Please see pictures as they form part of the description.

Krave Antiques is run by husband and wife team John and Helen. We have been married for over 30 years and have enjoyed working together for the last 27 years.

We love to travel and visit France and Belgium regularly where we have established lots of contacts that give us access to rare and unusual antiques. We love to find those special unique items and when we see something that gives us that ‘I must own it’ feeling we know that our customers will ‘Krave’ it too.

Being an online only antiques store we know how important it is to give every order that personal touch.  We have built up regular buyers from all over the world and supply museums, interior designers, film and TV studios, private collectors and trade buyers in New York, Milan, Lima, Paris, Sydney, Hong Kong, Buenos Aires to name a few.
