1950s Danish Ebonised Kidney Shaped Desk

Mid Century Danish desk designed by Kai Kristiansen with a kidney shaped top. The desk boasts a series of three drawers with brass pull handles on the left-hand side and a double tambour door on the right-hand side which reveal a set of four pull drawers and a semi-circular storage space with a shelving system. There is currently one shelve but more can be added. The circular storage space is accessible from the front and from the back of the desk. This is a very well-made piece of furniture presented on four elegant tapered legs with brass caps; the tambour doors slide with ease. The desk has been refinished to a black satin finish.

Les Trois Garcons Interiors represents the evolving creative vision of the trio whose iconic London restaurant challenged minimalism with its wildly inventive and theatrical fantasy style.

Now they have created a new collection that reflects a calmer but equally bold and dynamic aesthetic.

The collection comprises handcrafted, bespoke furniture and accessories and a carefully curated selection of vintage item and antiques.

Their sleek, contemporary pieces are the ideal visual foil for antiques and also have enough of an impact to stand alone.

The new collection is sophisticated and elegant, but with a core of fun and irreverence at it's heart. It fuses classic design principles with Les Trois Garcons' signature wit, passion for beauty and audacious disdain for the conventional and bland.
