Jack & Jill is a popular traditional English nursery rhyme first published in the late 18th century in an edition of Newbery's Mother Goose, the original four line stanza goes as follows:

Jack and Jill went up the hill
To fetch a pail of water
Jack fell down and broke his crown
And Jill came tumbling after.
