A Mahogany four poster bed

LESLIE & BAGGOTT
The four bedposts are carved with fluted balusters, cluster columns and rococo carving to plinth bases to the back posts and carved paw feet to the end of the bed. A closed upholstered canopy with moulded and dogtooth cornice with four classical carved fluted urn finials (finials are not shown in the photographs because the ceiling will not accommodate the height). The style of the carving is typical of Ireland, some 18th century elements but with later alterations.

Mattress size: within the rails 153cm x 183cm, a double mattress would fit, but a king size mattress could be made to fit around the posts.)

Dimensions:

  • W: 178cm (70.08in)
  • D: 213cm (83.86in)

Period:
