Item Description

Small mahogany bow fronted chest of drawers, a great configuration with 4 narrow drawers, lovely rich mahogany veneers to the front, each drawer with ebonised cockbead and oak linings, the top of the chest with ebony stringing, stands on elegant splayed legs. British, circa 1830.

Condition: The carcass is in lovely condition, it has a few historical repairs and is all in good order, the drawer fronts have rich original colour, the top is a little faded and with some marks and old scratches, it has now been wax polished. All the drawers run smoothly and it has locks on all the drawers, but no keys. A useful compact chest of drawers of good quality, now ready to be used.
