Item Description
This table features wonderful gilded gesso decoration, as was very popular in the early 19th Century. The base is comprised of attractive scrolling forms.
The statuary marble top is original, with a large piece of green Connemara marble in the centre which is a lovely contrast to the gilding.
Connemara is the finest Irish marble, and one of few marbles that are truly native to the UK and Ireland.
This table was likely a grand feature in a suitably grand home.
