the roulette style metal wheel with chromolithographic illustrations by Finch Mason, "Sandown...Registered Trade Mark" and horseshoe, green baize lining, in a brass inlaid mahogany case with handles, inlaid plaques: F. H. AYRES MAKER LONDON, the removable lid with 'ivorine' plaque inscribed: REGISTERED SANDOWN F. H. AYRES LONDON (stamped patent date: 8...5...89), with celluloid slot-in winning post, a set of race horse cards, with chomolithographic illustrations by Finch Mason: Peeping Tom 8-1 [5], Mr Pickwick 17-1 [4], Waverley 5-1 [4], Maid Marian 11-1 [3], Esmeralda 2-1 [3], Bolter 35 to 1 [4], Dorothy 3 to 1 [4], plus an 'Even Chance' card [1].
