A very Rare Meiji period late 19thC Japanese Merchants Tansu Cupboard In Hinoki Cypress wood the two piece cabinet is of strong but ultra light construction as intended to be often transported to Markets etc. the top half with two sliding doors is fitted with shelves the lower half also has two sliding doors with four equal sized drawers with iron handles ideal for use in any room of the house

Marchand Antiques has been established since 1994. The business was founded by Mark Lock, who is responsible for sourcing the stock from all over the British Isles and Europe, mainly sourcing from Sweden, Denmark, France and Italy.

Marchand is a true family business and Mark is assisted by his wife Jacqueline, who heads up the sales team aided by Sheila, and their daughter Francesca, who looks after the IT and photography. Even Mark's father Vic looks after deliveries and collections.

The shop at Holly Bush, 4a St John's Hill, Sevenoaks, Kent TN13 3NP is open Tuesday-Saturday 10am to 5.30pm and other times by appointment.
