18TH C MAHOGANY CELLARETTE

MYTTON ANTIQUES
A George III Cellarette.

The octagonal mahogany cellarette with a hinged lid, finished with a mould edge. The lid opening to a lead lined interior, with ten divisions for single bottles, surrounding two divisions for magnums. The body tapering gently inward and downward, to a small raised foot rim. The cellarette resting on the conforming stand, the rounded rim above four splayed legs, with mould outer edges, and chamfered inner edges. The legs joined to the rim with scrolled open brackets. The legs finished with small squat castors. The whole with broad brass banding, a rounded oval loop handle to open the lid and substantial carrying handles to either end. Complete with key, and drainage plug.

Height 28 inches, width 25 inches, depth 19 inches.

Jerrard Nares initially learnt about the antiques trade by working for well regarded firms in London and New York before taking over the family business in Shropshire.  He has an excellent knowledge about 18th and 19th Century furniture.  Working alongside Jerrard is his wife Sally, his father Malcolm and Naomi.

Mytton Antiques have been trading from the same spot for over 30 years in a 17th Century thatched building near to Shrewsbury.  The shop is open Monday-Saturday, 10am-4pm

Working alongside Jerrard are; his wife Sally, father Malcolm and Naomi, who are all committed to helping customers in the shop and online.

We have been trading from the same idyllic spot for over 30 years in a 17th Century thatched building near to Shrewsbury and 5 minutes off the M54.
