18th C Tripod Table with Candle Slide

MYTTON ANTIQUES
A George III Mahogany Tripod Table.

The eighteenth century table with a circular top, finished with a rounded mould raised dish rim. The stem with ring turning and vase shaping, resting on a ringed waisted socle, joining the three down swept tapering legs, finished with pad feet. The underside of the top fitted with a candle slide, opening on a brass axe head handle.

Height 27 inches, 68cm.
Diameter 19 inches, 48cm.

Jerrard Nares initially learnt about the antiques trade by working for well regarded firms in London and New York before taking over the family business in Shropshire.  He has an excellent knowledge about 18th and 19th Century furniture.  Working alongside Jerrard is his wife Sally, his father Malcolm and Naomi.

Mytton Antiques have been trading from the same spot for over 30 years in a 17th Century thatched building near to Shrewsbury.  The shop is open Monday-Saturday, 10am-4pm

Working alongside Jerrard are; his wife Sally, father Malcolm and Naomi, who are all committed to helping customers in the shop and online.

We have been trading from the same idyllic spot for over 30 years in a 17th Century thatched building near to Shrewsbury and 5 minutes off the M54.
