An 18th c imari shaving bowl

MYTTON ANTIQUES
An 18th C amari Shaving Bowl. The bowl with a broad sloping rim, surrounding the dished centre. The rim with a pair of hanging holes to one side and a crescent chin rebate to the other side. The rim decorated with panels of leaves, scrolling flowers, and grasses, between a background decorated with pairs of chrysanthemum. The centre of the bowl painted with an oriental vase, standing on a terrace. The vase filled with extravagant flowers. The rear of the bowl decorated with cherry branches, the bowl raised on a small foot rim. Date c 1780. Width 10.5 inches, Depth 10 inches.

Jerrard Nares initially learnt about the antiques trade by working for well regarded firms in London and New York before taking over the family business in Shropshire.  He has an excellent knowledge about 18th and 19th Century furniture.  Working alongside Jerrard is his wife Sally, his father Malcolm and Naomi.

Mytton Antiques have been trading from the same spot for over 30 years in a 17th Century thatched building near to Shrewsbury.  The shop is open Monday-Saturday, 10am-4pm

He has an excellent knowledge of 18th and 19th Century furniture, decorative antique furniture, decorative antiques and related items and is also a keen decorative collector himself.

Working alongside Jerrard are; his wife Sally, father Malcolm and Naomi, who are all committed to helping customers in the shop and online.

We have been trading from the same idyllic spot for over 30 years in a 17th Century thatched building near to Shrewsbury and 5 minutes off the M54.
