Large 18th c tea caddy

MYTTON ANTIQUES
A large George III mahogany Tea Caddy. The caddy with the original gilt brass swan neck handle, lifting the hinged lid. The lid with ebony beading above the concave moulding sweeping down to chequered rope twist moulding and thence to cockbeaded lower edge. The body with a brass key hole escutcheon. The lower edge decorated with oval entwined inlay, against ebony banding. The interior with three tea divisions.

Jerrard Nares initially learnt about the antiques trade by working for well regarded firms in London and New York before taking over the family business in Shropshire.  He has an excellent knowledge about 18th and 19th Century furniture.  Working alongside Jerrard is his wife Sally, his father Malcolm and Naomi.

Mytton Antiques have been trading from the same spot for over 30 years in a 17th Century thatched building near to Shrewsbury.  The shop is open Monday-Saturday, 10am-4pm

He has an excellent knowledge of 18th and 19th Century furniture, decorative antique furniture, decorative antiques and related items and is also a keen decorative collector himself.

Working alongside Jerrard are; his wife Sally, father Malcolm and Naomi, who are all committed to helping customers in the shop and online.

We have been trading from the same idyllic spot for over 30 years in a 17th Century thatched building near to Shrewsbury and 5 minutes off the M54.
