Large Victorian Rosewood Sideboard / Bookcase

Sn4997 Superb quality Early Victorian rosewood cabinet, having a superstructure with a shaped gallery, shelf and mirrored back raised on finely carved S shaped supports all above well figured top with outstanding grain and three shallow frieze drawers decorated with pateras, the base having a pair of glazed doors fitted with original working lock and a key and enclosing height adjustable shelf, all flanked by panelled cabinet doors (keys for decoration only) with maroon fabric panels with beautiful fretwork and elegant pilasters, all standing on moulded plinth base. This antique sideboard retains its original finish which has been cleaned, revived and waxed, all in wonderful home ready condition. The sideboard comes apart to enable handling. c1850

Nimbus Antiques has been established in Whaley Bridge, Derbyshire since 1979 with over 30 years of experience we have established a reputation for sourcing quality pieces of antique furniture.

We have extensive showrooms on 2 floors with car parking where you will find an interesting and varied collection of over 500 items of antique furniture of mainly the Georgian, Regency, Victorian and Edwardian era with examples from the Art Nouveau, Arts and Crafts and Aesthetic movement periods.

All our antique furniture has been through our workshop and where possible we always try to maintain the original finish preserving the patina and colour, some items are sympathetically restored and this is done by our own skilled craftsmen using only traditional methods.
 
We accept payment by personal cheque, bank transfer, debit and credit card and once payment is received we will arrange delivery in the quickest possible time either by ourselves or trusted courier.
