A Restored Ships Pilots Chair

These unusual chairs were sourced from the shores of India where early 20th century ships and cruise liners such as the QE 2 are currently being dismantled. These chairs would have been on the Captains Bridge and would have been sat on by the pilots. Being from different ships the design of these varies between each chair - please look closely at the pictures. They have been given a thorough sanding and re-varnished and the seats and backs have been re-upholstered in a simple linen - as an underlay for whatever final fabric you go for. Sadly we do not offer an upholstery service. These would look fantastic around a kitchen island or rather smart in a bar. 78 h to seat. 2 available, priced and sold individually.

Original House was set up by Archie and Caddy Mackie in 2008, dealing in Reclaimed Interiors.

They have a showroom / warehouse at Cirencester, where clients are welcome to visit by appointment.

Original House ethos is to provide it`s clients with well sourced interior pieces, that are not only beautifully designed classics, but also have that patina and charm that only age and good use can create. A move away from traditional antiques towards a more relaxed, yet exciting style is their aim: impressive painted bookcases, charming farm house tables and vintage chairs through to the clean lines of salvaged industrial lighting and other vintage furniture as well as expertise in vintage bathrooms and many other areas - the more unusual the piece the more exciting.
