RAG AND BONE
Original Vintage Charcoal and Chalk Study Depicting a Rescue at Sea

A dark and stormy sea

Stephens has managed to capture the scene skillfully, in particular the small amounts of light highlighted in chalk.

Signed and dated both on the paper and in the margin.

Framed and glazed in a complimentary frame.

The drawing is in excellent vintage order as it’s been behind glass, there are a few small areas of wear to the frame but nothing too serious. Please see photos.

Dimensions:

  • H: 46cm (18.11in)
  • W: 64cm (25.20in)
