castor stamped 'C HINDLEY & SONS / LONDON', leg stamped '04871'.

Charles Hindley & Sons were in business as carpet, rug and floor cloth manufacturers at 32 Berners Street before acquiring the cabinet makers Miles & Edwards, 134 Oxford Street in 1844.This takeover gave them the capacity to produce furniture.
